プログラムの拠点となるのは、テヴェレ川沿いに建つ1920年代の歴史的建築を改装したIES Abroad ローマセンターです。ここを拠点に、EU（欧州連合）や国連の組織構造や機能、法的枠組みについて理解を深めながら、ローマならではの魅力も満喫できます。学びの合間には、本場のジェラートを楽しむ時間もあるでしょう。

Using Rome’s resident institutions as case studies, this course examines the structures, functions, and legal frameworks behind global governance. With a leading academic steering your learning and access to international organizations—WTO, FAO, WFP, and the World Bank—you give yourself a real-world headstart on your career in international affairs, law, or diplomacy.
In the nine days of your study tour, you have 12 hours in the classroom doing coursework and working towards a two-hour final exam. To enhance your classroom learning, you spend 8 hours visiting major international organizations based in Rome.
You take part in 2 cultural activities, visiting iconic historical sites with your classmates.
Rome today is a global hub for international organizations, giving the course leaders abundant options for ways to show you the reality of the institutions’ day-to-day functions through experiential learning.

The place to discover Europe and the European Parliament in an innovative, multimedia, and dynamic space in the heart of Rome. You learn about the EU and understand how it impacts European citizens’ daily lives. Through a multimedia tour, immersive installations, and an interactive role-playing game, Esperienza Europa gives you the opportunity to discover how the European Union works.
A global partnership of five institutions, the World Bank works to end extreme poverty and boost shared prosperity by providing financial assistance and technical expertise to developing countries, aiming to raise living standards and promote sustainable development.
The world’s largest humanitarian organization saves lives in emergencies and uses food assistance to build a pathway to peace, stability, and prosperity for people recovering from conflict, disasters, and the impact of climate change.
The WTO is the only international organization dealing with the global rules of trade. Its main goal is to improve the welfare of people around the world by ensuring that trade flows as smoothly, predictably, and freely as possible.

When studying abroad, you will want to consider the time of year and how long you are away. Most programs follow the host university's academic calendar.
The dates shown below are general estimates, and as you get closer to the start of the term, you will get more detailed information from SAF. If you have any questions, your Student Counsellor and Program Specialist are always here to support you and point you to the correct information.
You stay in shared accommodation in a city-center aparthotel, near Rome’s restaurants and cafés where you can sit with your study group friends to discuss the day’s learnings.
Your accommodation has a kitchenette, so you can cook at home when you’ve had your fill of gelato or want to try your hand at a Roman carbonara pasta and share a meal together on the terrace. You have WiFi, linens, towels, and housekeeping, so you just need to show up and dive into your learning experience in Rome.
