Your program has 7 levels, from ePrep (true beginner) to Level 6, designed for students interested in general English and academic English preparation. If you’re a new student, you take the 3-part ACCUPLACER test to determine your level.
The test has three parts:
- Writing on a Prompt (30 minutes)
- ESL Listening Skills (20 questions, untimed)
- Non-timed ESL Sentence Meaning (20 questions, untimed)
In your first 2 days of class, instructors check your proficiency and may move you up or down to give you the best experience. You may also be eligible to take electives in grammar, phonics and pronunciation, academic writing, and reading fluency.
You can expect 18 classroom hours per week and up to an additional 6 elective hours in
